"Springer spaniel Arbhair is only the sixth PALS (Partner Animal Life Skills) dog in the UK and the first in Scotland. She accompanies her owner Neil Marshall everywhere, helping the former bomb disposal expert cope with PTSD. The pair were matched by charity Veterans with Dogs, and with Arbhair’s help, Neil has been able to handle busy social situations and crowded environments and has taken on a series of sporting challenges through Help for Heroes. Neil says: “Arbhair has got me back into the community. The need for PTSD dogs is huge and they could make such a huge difference to more people’s lives.”
