Our very own Julie Morrish is 3rd Place Winner in the Assistance Dog category for the Kennel Club Dog Photographer of the Year with her photo of Adam and Milo.
Julie runs our admin at VWD and is usually the first port of call for anyone contacting the Charity, but she is known to us all as 'Girl-Friday' for the numerous tasks and job that she does, not least being our official photgrapher. She loves photographing the dogs and quite often spends hours taking pictures of our Veterans and producing some wonderful images that we use throughout the website and our printed materials.
So we are delighted that the Kennel Club chose Julie to be an award winner out of the thousands of entries they received for the competition.
Julie says "I have been fortunate to be a part of the Charity Veterans With Dogs as their photographer. It is both emotional and inspiring to work alongside these amazing life changing dogs, and seeing the difference they make to a Veterans' life who suffers with PTSD.
This photo was taken during an October afternoon amongst the peaceful herb garden during residential stay with the Charity. Milo has a very close bond with his owner and it was a pleasure to photograph them together."
