Philanthropy

We are a small but ambitious charity, where philanthropic giving has the power to be truly transformational.

“You’ve saved my life and given me a life that is worth living again. A second chance of a normal life.”

At Veterans With Dogs, we will work closely with you to ensure your support is meaningful, rewarding, and aligned with your philanthropic interests. We offer a highly personalised approach to giving, with regular updates demonstrating the difference your support is making, and opportunities to meet our staff and leadership teams.

Why your support matters

Every gift enables us to support more veterans living with complex mental health challenges, providing life-changing assistance dogs, expert training, and ongoing care. Your support allows us to grow sustainably, invest in quality, and reach those who need us most.

Ways to make a philanthropic gift

There are many ways you can make a philanthropic gift, and we’d be delighted to discuss the options with you:

  • A multi-year gift is one of the most effective ways to support our work. It provides reliable funding, strengthens our planning, and ensures that you can watch your generosity have real impact.
  • A single donation can help us be agile and adapt to changing needs.
  • Use of giving vehicles such as Donor Advised Funds (DAF) can be tax and resource efficient
  • For donations that qualify, using Gift Aid will maximise the impact of your support

Leaving a gift in your Will is a powerful way to help support veterans who need us in the future.

“The companionship of my assistance dog has helped me reconnect with my family and friends. I no longer feel alone in my struggles.”

– Emma, beneficiary

Whether you already have a clear vision for your giving, or are just beginning to explore your philanthropy, we would be delighted to start a conversation.

Get in touch with our Chair of Trustees, Sally Williams, to discuss philanthropic giving. Together, we can give veterans the support, independence, and hope they deserve.
