Bringing dogs and veterans together to address mental health needs is at the heart of our mission, and it must always be delivered professionally and safely. Safeguarding is a core responsibility across all programmes and interactions.

Our safeguarding approach is both robust and transparent. Everyone acting on behalf of Veterans With Dogs receives regular safeguarding training and knows how to recognise concerns and respond promptly and correctly by following clearly defined procedures.

Safeguarding is embedded in our values and daily practice. We ask all staff, volunteers, and partners to uphold these standards so our services operate within a culture of safety, protection, and trust.
