What Will You Do as a VWD Events Volunteer?
Events make our charity visible, memorable, and impactful. When you join us, you’ll be right at the heart of what makes Veterans With Dogs so special – giving your energy and warmth at fairs, open days, and everywhere the Pack appears. You’ll:
- Set up and run our VWD stalls — meet the public, lay out our info and merchandise, and make every space inviting
- Share stories about our work, our PALS (Partner Animal Life Skills) Programme, and the difference our assistance dogs make for veterans across the UK
- Help with fundraising, from bucket collections to talking about Gift Aid, or selling charity merchandise
- Welcome visitors — introduce them to our amazing dogs and show what the Pack’s spirit really means
It’s a role for everyone — whether you can offer a few hours here and there, or want regular involvement, you’ll be part of a warm, fun‑loving team. Our volunteers come from every walk of life but share two things: a positive, energetic spirit and a desire to change lives for good.
