ADUK Launches Animation About Assistance Dogs

Today Assistance Dogs UK collectively launch a new animation.

This short animation uses ADUK members' dogs to help viewers understand more about the important role that assistance dogs play and the work that they do.

Vicky, Assistance Dogs Development Manager said: "This animation belongs to the Membership - we encourage everyone to share it with their colleagues, service users, and stakeholders and to keep it as a useful resource. Ultimately we hope it will increase awareness and improve access for everyone who relies on a highly trained assistance dog".

With inclusion in mind, the animation has subtitles and a British Sign Language signer as standard and it has been scripted in a descriptive way so that visually impaired folk can get the most out of it too.

The animation, which aims to raise awareness that assistance dogs come in all shapes and sizes and support a huge range of people, is the first of three to be launched this year. The next animation to be launched explores the legal obligations of service providers and will be part of a free training package that any organisation, service, or retailer can use to train staff.
