Centre Stage at The National Lottery's Big Bash

 

Veterans With Dogs was honoured to participate in the filming of ITV's spectacular National Lottery's Big Bash at the OVO Arena Wembley this December. The show, which will be broadcast on New Year's Eve from 5:45 pm on ITV1, celebrates remarkable organisations and individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to their communities.

 

A Star-Studded Evening

The event, hosted by Fleur East and Vernon Kay, brought together an impressive array of talent, including Ella Henderson, Craig David, and Olly Alexander to name but a few, and an exclusive performance from Cirque du Soleil's Corteo. Veterans With Dogs were in distinguished company, sharing the arena with inspiring individuals from across the nation.

This year's Big Bash holds particular significance as it marks the National Lottery's 30th anniversary of supporting vital causes throughout the UK. The programme showcases how National Lottery funding continues to transform lives and communities, supporting heritage, arts, sport, and grassroots organisations nationwide.

A Special Tribute

The evening featured several moving moments, including a poignant tribute marking the 80th Anniversary of D-Day. This resonated deeply with our organisation's mission and the Veterans we support through our assistance dog programme.
