10 Years of Success

10 Years of Success

This year is a special one for Veterans With Dogs as we mark 10 years since we were founded by Craig MacLellan in 2012. Since then, with help from our incredible team and supporters, we have helped and worked with over 200 Veterans and seen many more over the 10 years.

These Veterans suffer with mental health difficulties, such as PTSD, as a result of their service in the Armed Forces. We provide Assistance Dogs who not only enable our Veterans to lead independent lives, but allow them to regain their sense of purpose and self-worth, by re-engaging with their communities and society.

Whilst we want to celebrate all that we have achieved in the last 10 years, we are aware that there are still many more Veterans that need our support. Our mission is to help all Veterans in the UK who need us, and we need your help to make this happen. So, join us in celebrating and help us make this year our best ever!

How can you support us?

There are many ways you can support our charity’s vision. From socialising one of our future hero pups to setting up a fundraiser, you can be a part of making a life-changing difference to a Veteran’s life. As the demand for our services continues to grow, we need your support more now than ever.

Visit our Get Involved page for more information.

How do your donations support us?

Due to rising costs of puppies in the UK and the financial support, and ongoing training, we provide throughout a future hero pup’s journey to qualifying as an Assistance Dog, we rely on the support of our pawsome supporters. Without your donations, we would not be able to improve the quality of life for our Veterans.

£3 covers the cost of daily feeding
£10 covers the cost of one training session
£25 covers the cost of training equipment
£50 pays for a future hero pup’s inoculations
£100 covers the cost of spaying/neutering a pup
£150 covers the cost of a pup’s insurance for one year
£500 covers the cost of a Veteran and their dog’s training assessment
£1500 pays for a veteran to attend our residential training programme

Whatever you can do to support and celebrate our 10-year anniversary with us, we would be eternally grateful. We have lots of exciting plans and news to announce throughout 2022, stay tuned!

Thank you,
Team VWD.
